District Councillor for Hitchwood, Offa and Hoo
It has been a privilege to represent the residents of Hitchwood, Offa and Hoo ward on North Herts District Council for over 20 years. I live in the village of Holwell with my husband Tony and I am now retired having worked in the information technology business delivering computer services to various clients.
I thoroughly enjoy the challenges that being a councillor brings and I want to see a Council that is efficient and gives you value for money in the services it provides and the way it is run. I am currently chairing the Southern Rural committee where we are able to give small grants to community groups.
Over the years I have helped many residents with all sorts of issues including planning, getting bins collected, housing concerns etc. I attend Parish Council meetings and also the monthly surgeries held with Hitchin councillors to keep in touch and be visible to constituents. I speak at planning meetings as the member advocate on applications when I am asked to do this.
The next years will be challenging as the country recovers from the pandemic and I want to make sure the council is delivering to its residents.
This is a fantastic rural place to live in with the historic market town of Hitchin on our doorstep and we need to make sure we keep it that way. I would like your support on May 6th so that I can continue to represent you on the District Council.
