Conservative District Council Candidate for Harpenden North
About Susan
My name is Susan Griffiths and I am running for the district council in the Harpenden North ward. I love living in Hertfordshire and Harpenden. I married here 33 years ago and I have raised three children here, in this wonderful town.
The most important thing that you probably need to know about me is that I am truly passionate about helping young people succeed in life and have always sought to foster entrepreneurship and business success. Though I am recently retired from working for over 18 years as a local secondary teacher, I wasn’t quite ready to stop working with young people. I now work part-time as a business lecturer at a nearby college and the University of Hertfordshire.
Young Enterprise, a national youth charity organisation, recently recognised my local contribution for my work with aspiring teenage entrepreneurs for the last 15 years. In my busy retirement, I continue to work closely with the organisation and support young people in the local area.
I am extremely proud to live in Harpenden and I am dedicated to support this vibrant, exciting and diverse community. It is a town with a diverse combination of residents who have both lived here their whole lives and have newly joined us from afar and I am keen to make all feel welcome. A safe and healthy environment for all Harpenden residents, whatever stage of life they are in, is at the heart of my pledges as I stand for district council.
If you share my vision please vote for me.
